“I have always approached my photography with the intent to create images with thought, mood and emotion using the best light nature has to offer and worthy of the final print”

My passion for photography started in 1997 London for two years attending college using a 35mm camera. After college I started working as a Photography Assistant for Photographers in the studio and on location around London and then as a Photographic Technician for many years at various labs around the capital. I got to know the characteristics of using film and printing very quickly and still mainly shoot film today. My favorite films I use consist of black and white Ilford Delta100 and Ilford hp5, Fuji rvp50, Fuji rvp100 and Kodak portra160 for colour work from panoramic 6x17 medium format to 4x5 large format. I do use digital, using the Fuji X range, which I find produces great imagery, but using film is like second nature to me and I can’t see myself stopping anytime soon in the near future. Not following tradition, I have never been much of a fan of amazing blazing sunrises or red sky sunsets, I have always been drawn to moody cloudy atmospheric scenes and a lot of my black and white photography is done with a dramatic cloud presence. I have travelled far and wide with my photography, but nothing beats keeping it close to home. Most of the time you’ll find me in the studio or wandering the UK’s South Coast beaches, over the South Downs National Park and other times I’m spoiling myself over west at The New Forest National Park.
